Tankoa launches 227-foot Suerte.

Tankoa Yachts, established in Italy in 2008, has launched its first yacht, the 227-foot (69.3-meter) Suerte. Tankoa celebrated the launch with a sit-down dinner for 500 guests. Delivery was expected to the owners in August.

Suerte was built for a client of Michel Karsenti’s Yacht-Ology with design by Francesco Paszkowski.

“I launched more than 400 boats in my life. I don’t remember when I saw last such a perfect result from [the] first time in the water,” naval architect Vincenzo Ruggiero stated in a press release. “In this specific case, I can tell that all they did is just amazing.”

Coming next from Tankoa are two 173-foot (53-meter) yachts, also designed by Paszkowski and currently referred to as S531 and S532. Look for more details on those at this fall’s boat shows in Monaco and Fort Lauderdale. —Andrew Rainaldi
